Financial Analyst/Project Lead

As a Financial Analyst & Strategic Projects Manager at BSM, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, business planning, and strategic project support across multiple regions. This role plays a key part in enabling informed business decisions by developing financial insights, evaluating investment opportunities, improving management information, and coordinating the implementation of strategic initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across diverse business functions to drive performance, manage risks, and support sustainable business growth while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards explicitly provided in the accountability profile.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, reports, and performance insights to support management decision-making.
Analyze business performance and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations and commentary on financial results.
Develop, maintain, and enhance management information, reporting structures, and analytical tools.
Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators to support performance management and business objectives.
Build and evaluate business cases, financial models, forecasts, and investment proposals.
Assess financial implications, assumptions, risks, and sensitivities associated with new business initiatives and investments.
Provide recommendations and implementation support for approved business cases and strategic initiatives.
Lead or support strategic projects across multiple regions, ensuring effective planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
Establish project objectives, milestones, work plans, risk assessments, and reporting frameworks.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment on key priorities.
Identify, document, monitor, and escalate material financial, operational, and project-related risks.
Support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, legal coordination, and the evaluation of efficient corporate and funding structures.
Maintain confidentiality, uphold internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and project success.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional qualification in accounting, finance, or project management is advantageous.
Substantial experience in financial analysis, management reporting, business planning, or financial modelling.
Experience in business case development, forecasting, and financial evaluation.
Knowledge of corporate and tax structures.
Demonstrated experience in cross-functional project delivery and stakeholder coordination.
Experience working across multiple entities, countries, or regional stakeholders is advantageous.

Strong financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, and reporting skills.
Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Sound understanding of management information, performance management, and financial controls.

Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, presentation, and reporting tools.
Familiarity with financial and business intelligence systems is an advantage.
