Job Objective
Contribute to HRM Goal to educate and train the seafarer community about the mental wellbeing and health to have quality life onboard. The trainer will share knowledge and guide participants on how to build healthy relationship with multi-lingual / multinational employees working together on ship. To ensure crew onboard is having safe environment. Contribute towards enhancing seafarers’ performance with respect to non-technical (soft skills).
Key Accountabilities
Design, develop, and deliver content for mental health training of seafarers.
Design principles to create engaging and interactive training materials and programs based on industry requirements and best practices in non-technical skill.
Develop human element strategies, including leadership, management, behaviour and organisational culture to contribute to fleet operational performance. Provide advice, support, and guidance to the BSM training programmes on human element and development requirements.
Create and build an awareness of mental health and wellbeing on board.
Develop evaluation methods and metrics to assess competencies, including simulator-based assessment of non-technical skills.
Provide 1-on-1 counselling sessions to seafarers showing early signs of mental health issue.
Conduct safety surveys for seafarers on board and on vacation to understand the current state of mind.
Develop human element strategies, including leadership, management, behaviour, and organisational culture to contribute to fleet operational performance. Provide advice, support, and guidance to the BSM training programmes on human element and development requirements.
Contribute to all other projects and initiatives as required by the HRM GM within the personal capabilities and competence.
