Graphic Designer Intern
Kick off your design career with BSM as a Graphic Designer Intern — hands-on branding, mentoring, and real projects in a collaborative maritime team.
As a Graphic Designer Intern at BSM, you will support the marketing and communications team with day‑to‑day design tasks, content creation, and ongoing creative initiatives. This is an entry‑level internship designed to provide practical, hands‑on experience across core graphic design functions and exposure to branding and visual communication within a commercial ship management organization. You will work under the supervision of experienced designers and marketing professionals and receive mentoring to develop your creative, technical, and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating visual assets including social media graphics, presentations, posters, and marketing materials.
Support the design team in developing layouts, infographics, and digital content aligned with brand guidelines.
Help maintain and update design templates, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Contribute to campaign and project brainstorming sessions, offering fresh ideas and creative input.
Prepare artwork files for print and digital use, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
Assist in photo editing, retouching, and basic video content preparation when required.
Participate in process improvement projects and documentation of design workflows to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, HR) to deliver design solutions that meet business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of graphic design principles such as layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Figma, or similar software.
Can render at least 300 internship hours and work onsite at Quirino, Malate, Manila.
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual consistency and aesthetics.
Creative mindset with the ability to translate concepts and ideas into compelling visual designs.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues across functions in a professional manner.
Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Organized and capable of managing multiple design tasks and deadlines.
Fluency in English required; familiarity with social media content design is an advantage.
