LPSQ Officer
Contribute to a safer maritime industry.
As a LPSQ Officer at BSM, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and compliant operation of vessels by coordinating audits, inspections, and corrective actions in line with international maritime standards. Acting as a key link between ship and shore, you will ensure adherence to regulations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain internal and external audit schedules in compliance with legislation and company procedures.
Monitor audit execution, follow up on findings, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Arrange and track compliance audits under ISM, ISPS, and ISO requirements.
Liaise with governmental and maritime bodies to stay updated on regulatory changes and support implementation.
Prepare and maintain records, reports, and statistics related to audits and inspections.
Assist in compiling and analyzing data for LPSQ procedures and activities.
Maintain and update technical publications and ensure availability of current editions.
Support incident investigations and contribute to accurate reporting systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or certificate in a maritime-related field.
Minimum 4 years offshore experience within a ship management or owning company.
Skills & Competencies
Familiarity with vessel technical operations.
Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, ISO guidelines and maritime law.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Fluency in English and very good knowledge of the local language.
